Dagestani resident claims disappearance of her husband
Starting since November 4, the whereabouts of Samurkhan Magomedov, a resident of Makhachkala, is unknown. This was reported by his wife Bagakhanum Khiirova. Till present, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan does not have any information about the disappearance of Samurkhan Magomedov, a source from the MIA reports.
At 9:00 a.m. of November 4, Samurkhan Magomedov left home; however, he did not come to the work. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Bagakhanum Khiirova. She has also reported that, together with her mother, she had visited all OVDs (Interior Divisions) of Makhachkala; however, her complaint was not accepted.
"We were told that we need to wait three days from the date of disappearance to file a complaint. However, I am afraid that my husband had been kidnapped. A black Priora car with tinted windows followed him for two days. My husband himself told me that in recent days, he saw that car following him on his way home; however, he did not see persons inside the car. Besides, four days ago, we were watched by a police UAZ car," Bagakhanum Khiirova has said.
The woman has also added that her husband was attending the mosque located in Kotrov Street. In Makhachkala, that mosque is considered to be a Salafi mosque.
Bagakhanum Khiirova has appealed to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" with a request to help t reveal the whereabouts of her husband. This was stated by Elena Denisenko, a staff member of the organization.
