Sochi residents complain about pavement of highway right under windows of apartment house
In Sochi, builders of alternate road have changed the project by cutting down all green area on the land plot near the house No. 47 in Tchaikovsky Street. Agents of the construction company argue that the project changes had been sanctioned.
On November 1, tenants of the house found that the builders of the alternate road of Kurortny Avenue were paving the road of continuous traffic, instead of the pedestrian road, right near the entrance to their porch.
"The order issued by the Ministry of Regional Development on July 12, 2012, approved a new documentation to plan the territory of the Olympic facility, which took about 0.10 of additional hectares to place the facility," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Andrei Shabanov, an official from the Olympic Department.
By the decision of the Central District Court of Sochi, about 0.10 hectares out of 0.34 hectares of the land plot of the house No. 47 were allocated for free for arrangement of the exit from the lower tier of Gagarin Street to Tchaikovsky Street, which had not been earlier provided for in the project approved in 2009.
"We believe that the remaining land plot is enough for tenants to use of their apartment building," Andrei Shabanov has stated.
It should be noted that in 2009, prior to construction of the alternate road, architects, social activists and ordinary residents pointed out that the road would pass through the most green avenue of the city, along the residential quarters located in Novosyolov and Tchaikovsky Streets, and that fact, according to social activists, would cause substantial harm to the environment of the city.
