In Cherkessk, relatives and friends of kidnapped businessman demand information about course of inquiry

Today, in Cherkessk, relatives and friends of Nauruz Cherkasov, a kidnapped businessman, held a 12-hour picket, demanding to inform them about the progress of the investigation into the case.

On August 31, 46-year-old businessman Nauruz Cherkasov was kidnapped on the highway near the plant "Henkel" in the Kochubeev District of the Stavropol Territory. Kidnappers in masks and camouflage arrived in a black Volkswagen car. They were armed with automatic weapons.

The today's rally was held in front of the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), and it was attended by about 100 persons. Relatives want to hear the explanation about the progress of the investigation. This was explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Raisa Cherkasova, the mother of the kidnapped businessman.

At present, the relatives know that four persons are detained on suspicion of kidnapping. According to the investigators, the detainees are members of an organized grouping engaged in murders, kidnappings, robbery and arms trafficking in the territory of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD). Three other persons were placed on the wanted list on the ground of the testimonies of the detainees.
