In Yerevan, during the clashes between participants of the ''Million Mask March'' and the police, 37 persons were detained.
On Thursday evening, in Yerevan, the protest action "Million Mask March" was held. Participants were throwing smoke bombs and "Molotov cocktails". During the riots in the centre of Yerevan, eight policemen and a teenager were injured.
In total, the protest action involved several hundreds of activists in Guy Fawkes masks (one of the symbols of the movement "Anonymous"), the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
''Guy Fawkes mask symbolizes freedom, equality, brotherhood, honesty, and other positive qualities of persons, which are not typical for the country at the present. I do not want to live in such a country; therefore, I prefer a revolution,'' said Shant Arutyunyan, the leader of the ''Tsegakron'' Party", an organizer of the "Million Mask March", at the beginning of the march.
At present, investigators are carrying out an examination to determine what explosive substances were used in the course of the protest action. This was reported by Armen Malkhasyan, Police Press Secretary.
