In Dagestan, criminal proceedings against MP Shamil Isaev stopped

The criminal proceedings against Shamil Isaev, the deputy of the People's Assembly of Dagestan, for non-fulfilment of the court decision in the case concerning the lawsuit against Ali Kamalov were stopped.

Let us remind you that on this February 11, the Kirov District Court of Makhachkala granted in part the claims filed by Shamil Isaev and obliged Ali Kamalov, Chairman of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Dagestan, to pay 60,000 roubles. The Court has pronounced the decision to recognize false the statements made by Ali Kamalov, alleging that Shamil Isaev was involved in the murder of Malik Akhmedilov, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Sorgatl".

According to the source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, on Thursday, investigators of the Bailiff Service have presented materials of the pre-investigation check to Biyakai Magomedov, a representative of Ali Kamalov, Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Dagestan.

According to the materials of the pre-investigation check, the criminal proceedings against Shamil Isaev under Article 315 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Failure to comply with a court judgment, court decision or other judicial act" were terminated, since he paid the legal costs for the case in the amount of 20,000 roubles. Thus, the case of Isaev vs. Kamalov has been completed in favour of the latter.
