Two criminal cases opened against advocate of defendant in Yuri Budanov's murder case

Advocate Murad Musaev, who protects the rights and interests of defendant Yusup Temerkhanov, accused of the murder of Yuri Budanov, was involved in the criminal case of bribery of witnesses, and he is also a figurant in the case of interfering with the trial. This was reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

According to the investigators, in January 2013, advocate Murad Musaev, together with other persons, including not yet unidentified persons, has bribed two witnesses in the criminal case of the murder of Yuri Budanov to persuade them to give false testimonies in court.

Besides, according to the investigators, in the period from late 2012 till early 2013, Murad Musaev and other persons were interfering with the activities of jurors, including offering them not to participate in the trial, referring to the imaginary circumstances.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in this February, Darya Trenina, another advocate of Yusup Temerkhanov, became a figurant of the criminal case of bribing a witness in connection with the case of the murder of Yuri Budanov. She was suspected of bribing Alexander Evtukhov, whom Murad Musaev earlier called a key witness in the case. Darya Trenina herself does admit her guilt.
