Karabulak residents claim authorities try to unlawfully demolish their houses
In Ingushetia, in Karabulak, tenants of buildings located in Rabochaya and Djabagiev Streets claim that the city authorities failed to notify them of recognition their houses as dilapidated and did not provide them with the results of the examination recognizing the buildings as not being subjected to repairing.
The information from the tenants was received by the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot". The authors of the message claim the city administration is trying to unlawfully demolish the buildings made of bricks that could stand for other 50 years after capital repairs.
The "Caucasian Knot" was told by Isa Chakhkiev, one of the tenants, his two-storey house No. 14 with eight apartments located in Djabagiev Street, "according to the statements of the city authorities, is to be demolished in the nearest future"; however, the city authorities failed to present any documents recognizing the building as dilapidated.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been explained by Ruslan Magomedov, an advocate from the Dagestani Advocates' Chamber, tenants of the buildings that are to be demolished under the programme for reconstruction of the districts should be informed about the decision of the City Commission not less than one year prior to the eviction.
However, according to the advocate, in practice, the authorities often choose to recognize a building dilapidated "to release a good land plot in major cities."
