Makhachkala residents assert that law enforcers detain protesters in support of lawyer Musaev
In Makhachkala today, searches are conducted in the homes of those local residents who took part in the November 29 rally in support of the lawyer Murad Musaev, which was held in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan; most of the protesters were detained.
The fact of the today's mass detentions in Makhachkala of participants of the rally in support of Musaev was reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a duly informed source, who wished to remain anonymous.
"According to my information, all the detainees – from 6 to 9 persons by various estimates – were participants of the rally. Apart from their places of residence, they were also detained in Dakhadaev Street, in the room, where they prepared the rally. Religious literature was also confiscated from them," said the source.
Let us remind you that today in Makhachkala a local resident Gasan Gadjiev was also detained. About a month ago, he began working with the "Caucasian Knot" as an author of news stories. One of the topics that he covered was on the rally in support of the lawyer Musaev.
The press service of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they had no information about the detentions.
