Accused of Biryulyovo murder left in custody for two months
Today, the Presnya Court of Moscow has extended till April 10, 2014, the detention of Orkhan Zeinalov, a native of Azerbaijan, accused of killing Egor Scherbakov, 25, in the Moscow district of Western Biryulyovo.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported referring to investigators that Zeinalov committed the murder on October 10 this year; later, he partially admitted his guilt.
During the today's court session, the investigator said that so far they could not complete the inquiry into the murder, since they still need to find and interrogate at least four witnesses, and formulate the final indictment. The prosecutor has upheld Zeinalov's further detention, the "Interfax" reports.
The court granted the investigator's petition and extended Orkhan Zeinalov's custody until April 10.
Let us remind you that the murder sparked riots, culminating in detention of 380 people. Residents of Biryulyovo demanded to accelerate the inquiry and close Pokrovskaya vegetable storage, where most of the workers are migrants.
