Power agents plant proofs on resident of Dagestan while searching, his relatives assert
The mother of Shamil Ramazanov, who was detained on December 9 in Makhachkala, has filed an application to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" asking for help in defending the rights of her son, which were violated by power agents during a search and detention, said Elena Denisenko, the local employee of the HRC.
Let us remind you that on December 9 law enforcers raided Makhachkala and detained Gasan Gadjiev, as well as a number of participants of the November 29 rally in support of the lawyer Murad Musaev, and other locals. According to an eyewitness, in total at least 50 people were detained and placed in the gym of Division 6 of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs. By the morning of December 10 it became known that three detainees were kept at the police as suspects of arms possession, while the rest of them were released.
Elena Denisenko told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that Aminat Ramazanova, the mother of detained Shamil Ramazanov, approached the HRC "Memorial" in the evening on December 9.
According to Ms Denisenko, the mother asks to restore the violated rights of her family and expresses her confidence that object resembling an explosive device allegedly found during the search was deliberately planted during the operation.
The Dagestani police make no comment on the information about the detainees.
