Tbilisi: 1500 persons support Ukraine's European integration
More than 1500 people gathered in Tbilisi on December 11 at a rally in support of Ukraine's European integration. Because of the march – the column was 200 meters long – the motor traffic in Rustaveli Avenue was stopped.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that actions in support of the "Euromaidan" are in Tbilisi since early December.
The initiator of the actions in support of Ukraine's European integration is Otar Karalashvili, who founded a group "Euromaidan" on the Facebook.
"You saw that through the Facebook network we could organize the arrival of about one hundred persons. But today, without our knowledge, several local TV stations made announcements that in front of the Parliament and the National Assembly an action in support of 'Euromaidan' would be held," Otar Karalashvili told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
For the first time the action was attended by activists of various Georgian political movements; in particular, activists of the NGO "Free Zone" were especially active, as well as members of "Young Socialists".
