Travelling exhibition "Legends of Caucasus" starts its journey from North Ossetia
On December 11, North Ossetia opened a travelling museum-and-exhibition project "Legends of the Caucasus". The project presents unique historical, archaeological and ethnographic artefacts from the National Museum of North Ossetia. Today, the exhibition project will leave North Ossetia and begin the journey to the neighbouring regions.
The project is initiated and implemented by the National Museum of North Ossetia with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
"The exhibition is aimed to promote the cultural heritage of Northern Caucasus, to make a positive impact on its image as a region with a rich cultural heritage and traditions, as well as increased attendance of museums," the organizers emphasize.
According to Larissa Sokhieva, Director of the National Museum of North Ossetia, the exhibition will visit all the capitals of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).
