Board of Chechen Parliament demands to deprive Zhirinovsky of his parliamentary mandate
The Board of the Chechen Parliament has held an extraordinary sitting and decided to send a special appeal to the Chairman of the State Duma Sergey Naryshkin demanding to dismiss Vladimir Zhirinovsky of his parliamentary activities, the press service of the Chechen Parliament has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 24 Zhirinovsky, while performing live on air in the "Poedinok" (Duel) TV programme, which was dedicated to the terror act in Volgograd, committed on October 21, called to separate Northern Caucasus from Russia and restrict the birth rate there.
According to the above press service, the Board of the Chechen Parliament held its extraordinary sitting on December 12, following the decision of the State Duma Ethics Commission.
The above State Duma Commission gave in fact no reaction to the statements of the LDPR (Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia) leader Zhirinovsky, as Mr Abdurakhmanov, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Chechnya, said during the sitting of the Board. "His statements contradict the Russian Constitution and the state strategy on national politics until 2025, signed by President of Russia Vladimir Putin," he said.
