Rally near Sochi City Administration was attended by up to 100 persons
In Sochi, a rally was held in front of the city administration. People protested against permanent collapses of light, water, gas, and heating supply. According to various estimates, the protest action was attended by 50-100 persons.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that unidentified persons disseminated in social networks the calls to hold a rally near the city administration on December 15 and demand the resignation of Anatoly Pakhomov, Sochi Mayor. The calls referred to the continuing collapse of water, heating, and power supply. According to the authors of the calls, the city authorities are responsible for the above problems.
Despite the calls in social networks to hold a rally in Sochi, demanding the resignation of the City Mayor, in fact, none of the protesters came to the square near the city administration. This was stated by Evgeny Kuzhelev, an official from the Sochi city administration for PR.
According to Tatiana Osipova, a blogger and a social activist, "none of the activist came to the rally, since everyone realized that it was a planned provocation to identify and detain activists."
However, Iren Ilyenkova, the head of the Russian community in Sochi, has stated that the people, who came to the square, held a protest action in the form of gathering. About 50 persons gathered near the city administration, the "FederalPress.Yug" reports.
The people, who gathered in the square, told journalists about unsolved problems concerning city utilities.
