In Makhachkala, two passers-by were injured during shelling of DPS squad, a source from MIA reports
In Makhachkala, a road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) squad was shelled. As a result, one policeman was killed, and another policeman was wounded. Besides, two passers-by suffered.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on Tuesday, in Makhachkala, an armed attack on a police squad was committed. Criminals fled after firing. One of the attackers was killed and identified as Kurban Omarov, a member of the "Makhachkala" grouping. One of the suspected militants escaped from law enforcers in a stolen car.
"According to updated information, during the shelling, one policeman was killed, another policeman was wounded, and two passers-by were also wounded. A taxi driver helped to detain Kurban Omarov, one of the attackers. During his detention, Kurban Omarov rendered resistance and was killed," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
According to the preliminary information, another attacker was Rustam Suleimanov, who is also a member of the "Makhachkala" grouping, the source has added.
