Law enforcers announces Imam's murder in Dagestan resolved

Staff members of the Dagestani secret services have resolved the murder of Gadji Aliev, Imam of the village mosque in Dagestan, committed a year ago. This was reported by an official from the law enforcement bodies of the republic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 11, 2012, the Imam was killed in the yard of his house in the village of Khadjalmakhi of the Levashi District. Investigators believe that there were three attackers, who shelled and killed the Imam from automatic weapons. According to the investigators, Gadji Aliev could be killed because of hostile relations and his religious activities. Gadji Aliev was a follower of Sufi Islam.

On December 22, it was revealed that on November 4, one of the murderers of the Imam was killed by special forcers fighters during a special operation in the Lak District of Dagestan along together with two other suspected militants, the "Interfax" reports.

The details of the detection of the Imam's murder are not reported.
