Nigerian citizen wounded in Volgograd
Last night, a Nigerian citizen, who studies at one of the higher educational institutions of Volgograd, got a knife wound. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies of the region.
According to his story, the incident occurred in Kommunalnaya Street, when three students from Nigeria returned to their apartment. Near the house, where they lived, they had a quarrel with local residents.
"A verbal altercation escalated into a conflict, and as a result, one of the Nigerians was stabbed. The attacker escaped," the "Interfax" quoted the source as saying.
The victim was brought to the hospital, and his health is not threatened. This was reported by an official from the Chief Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the Volgograd Region. He has noted that the police are searching for the criminals. He has added that the Nigerian students were in a state of alcoholic intoxication and that they had a conflict with "persons of Slavic origin," the "V1.ru" reports.
The foreigners were attacked by two persons, who, apart from a knife, had a bat. This was reported by the message posted on the website of the Volgograd edition "Vse Dlya Vas" (All for You).
