Armenia's opposition signs protocol on invalidity of Armenian-Russian agreements
Today, at a session of the National Assembly, the parliamentary majority has voted for the ratification of the gas agreements with Russia. The oppositional MPs did not vote and left the hall in protest.
The Armenian oppositionists have voided the ratification of the Armenian-Russian agreements and signed a respective protocol. The document was signed by the leaders of four opposition parties: Armen Rustamyan (ARF "Dashnaktsutyun"), Nair Zograbyan ("Prosperous Armenia"), Zarui Postandjyan ("Heritage") and Levon Zurabyan (ANC).
The leaders of the above factions have also declared their plans to draft "a further scenario of fighting against the illegal ratification of the agreements."
Today, a protest action against ratification of the agreements with Russia was held in front of the Parliament of Armenia, which was attended by about 400-500 people.
