Stavropol woman asserts that her detained husband was rejected medical care
Mansur Adjigisiev, a resident of the village of Kangly, Mineralovodsky District of the Stavropol Territory, detained on suspicion of illegal possession of firearms and treated under arrest at the city hospital of Georgievsk, needs a qualified care of gastroenterologists; however, law enforcers deny his transfer to a specialized clinic. This was stated by his wife Sofia Adjigisieva, who has turned to human rights defenders.
According to her story, her husband is a Category 2 invalid with a chronic Bekhterev disease and ulcerative colitis in the acute stage.
"His condition continues deteriorating. On December 14, relatives of one of the inmates from IK-3 (correction colony) contacted us and said that Mansur asked to convey his farewell to us and asked for forgiveness if he had hurt us with something. They said that he was out of breath and could hardly speak," said the woman.
According to her story, on that very day Mansur Adjigisiev was taken to the resuscitation ward of the city hospital of Georgievsk. His wife said that she had appealed to the investigating bodies asking to take her husband for treatment to a specialized clinic, but they refused to do it.
"He needs to be urgently taken to one of the nearest gastroenterology clinics – either in Essentuki or in Stavropol, but it can't be done, unless they release him under recognizance not to leave," says the woman.
