Pardoned resident of Ingush village of Arshty suspected of shelling law enforcers
26-year-old Khamzat Aldiev, a resident of Ingushetia, who has been earlier affected by the amnesty, is suspected of attacking law enforcers. The court pronounced a pre-trial restriction measure to Khamzat Aldiev as detention in custody till February 22. At present, he is kept at the SIZO (pre-trial prison) of Grozny. This was reported by his advocate.
On July 7, 2013, 26-year-old Khamzat Aldiev was affected by the amnesty as a person, who has deliberately quite illegal armed formations (IAFs) and surrendered weapons. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by advocate Beslan Zakaev.
However, at present, Khamzat Aldiev is accused of armed attack as a member of the IAF on law enforcers (Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), the advocate reports.
"Law enforcers have found a video record that was shot when policemen were shelled by militants. Law enforcers believe that the video record allegedly shows that one of the attackers was my client. A video technical expert examination was carried out; however, it did not confirm that my client was among members of the IAF, who shelled the policemen," the advocate has said.
Lyubov Aldieva, the Khamzat Aldiev's mother, has stated that the law enforcers' actions contradict the decision made by the Commission to assist in adapting to civilian life.
"At present, we are told that Khamzat was put on the federal wanted list. However, prior to being pardoned, he was questioned by investigators, who checked him. They are specialists and professionals and not some unidentified persons from streets," Lyubov Aldieva notes.
