Dagestan: persons shot dead in shootout in Buynaksk identified
The names of the men who were killed today in Buynaksk in a shootout with the police are known, said the spokesman for the Investigating Department (ID) for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). They were members of the "Buynaksk" grouping, said the press service of the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
Today, at about 4 p.m., an armed skirmish burst out in Buynaksk of three suspected militants with the police. Under the official version, law enforcers stopped a car aiming to check documents, but three men got out of it and opened fire, said the ID of the ICRF. All the attackers were killed by response fire; two policemen were wounded.
"The casualties are Murad Mamaev, Abubakar Bammatov and Yusupgadji Kamilov," - said one of local investigators.
A source from the local MIA has added that the casualties were members of the "Buynaksk" grouping and were involved in several attacks on law enforcers.
