Kotovo of Volgograd Region holds flash mob against rise in gasoline prices
In the town of Kotovo of the Volgograd Region, car owners held a flash mob to protest against rise in prices of gasoline and diesel fuel. The protest action was attended by 16 car owners.
The flash mob took place in 100 meters from the building of the district administration. 16 cars lined up in a chain and stopped for a while near the administration building. After standing for a while with lights switched on, the cars left the place. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by entrepreneur Valery Solomennov, one of the protesters.
"We are indignant about the rise of fuel prices in our country. Prices are rising by leaps and bounds. In November-December, the price for diesel fuel doubled. At present, in the Volgograd Region, diesel fuel is more expensive than 95 gasoline. We are 100 percent confident that on January 1, the prices for fuel will rise again. Today, we gathered 16 cars. Our protest action was attended by entrepreneur, truckers, and ordinary citizens," Valery Solomennov has said.
According to him, the protesters will send a letter to the President and the All-Russian Popular Front on the issue of rise in fuel prices.
