Mansur Adjigisiev dies in Georgievsk City Hospital
On December 25, Mansur Adjigisiev, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, died at the City Hospital of the city of Georgievsk. He was detained on suspicion of illegal possession of arms and received medical treatment under arrest at the Georgievsk City Hospital. This was reported by a member of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy).
Let us remind you that on November 6, Mansur Adjigisiev, a resident of the village of Kangly of the Mineralnye Vody District of the Stavropol Territory, was detained after a search conducted in his house. On November 12, the court ruled to arrest Mansur Adjigisiev. In December, because of deterioration of his health state, Mansur Adjigisiev was transferred to the resuscitation ward of the Georgievsk City Hospital.
On December 17, Sofia Adjigisieva, the wife of the detainee, appealed for help to the human rights defenders. She has stated that Mansur Adjigisiev needs qualified emergency medical care of gastroenterologists; however, law enforcers refuse to transfer him to a specialized hospital.
Friends and relatives of Mansur Adjigisiev blame law enforcers for his death.
"Mansur was planted weapons and arrested. Even at the resuscitation ward, he was kept chained to a bed with handcuffs, and submachine gunners watched him. He died because the law enforcers who arrested him failed to take appropriate measures," a relative of Mansur Adjigisiev has stated in his interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
