Picket in Vladikavkaz demands return of deposits from "Regional Development Bank"
Over 20 depositors of the bankrupt "Regional Development Bank" took part in a picket in Vladikavkaz. They demanded to have their money back, said Madina Akoeva, one of the protesters.
The picket lasted from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the monument to Lenin in Mira Avenue. It was sanctioned by the city authorities, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
The picketers were those depositors of the bank, whose transactions were regarded as questionable and not included into the register of the failed bank. The bank had about 600 such depositors. The "Deposit Insurance Agency" treats them as "breakers" and does not want to return their money, said Madina Akoeva, one of such depositors.
"We feel that we are blocked: the problem is not let out of the republic, while they fail to address it here, at home. People were forced to take the decision and go out to the action of despair," she added.
