One of the versions of the law enforcement bodies suggests that a suicide bombing at the railway station in Volgograd could be committed by a male suicide bomber. This was reported by a source from the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). Earlier, Vladimir Markin, Spokesman of the ICRF, has reported that, according to the preliminary information, the terror act was committed by a female suicide bomber, a native of Dagestan.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, at the railway station in Volgograd, an explosion occurred. According to combat engineers, the power of the explosive device was 10 kg of TNT equivalent. As a result, 17 persons were killed, including the suspected suicide bomber, and at least 40 persons were injured.
According to the recent information, the explosion in Volgograd could be committed by a male suicide bomber, the "Interfax" quotes Vladimir Markin as saying. The investigators also consider other versions.
Earlier, a source in law enforcement bodies has reported that after viewing the video records from the surveillance cameras, the investigators concluded that the terrorist was a man of Slavic appearance. The investigators believe that he carried the explosive device in his backpack. When the man passed through a metal detector, the alarm went off, and after that a policeman took the man aside and offered him to undergo personal inspection. The explosive device detonated at that very moment.
