Two Volgograd terror acts committed within 24 hours killed 33 and wounded 64 persons
The death toll of the two terror acts committed in Volgograd on December 29 and 30 includes 33 people, including the suicide bombers. The Volgograd Regional Administration has spread the list of those wounded which contains the names of 64 people.
The December 29 attack was carried out at the railway station of Volgograd and killed 18 people, including the suicide bomber: according to the police, he was Pavel Pechonkin, born in the Republic of Mari El, a member of the "Buynaksk" armed grouping.
On Monday morning, a terror act in a trolleybus was triggered in the city. According to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the act was committed by a suicide bomber. As a result of this attack 15 people were lost, including the bomber.
The terror act in the trolleybus on December 30 is the fourth explosion within 2013, organized in Volgograd. The terror act at the railway station on December 29 was the third one within the year.
