Car explosion kills assistant to Buynaksk Public Prosecutor
Rasul Gasanov, an assistant to the Public Prosecutor of the city of Buynaksk, was in his car, when an explosion occurred underneath. Gasanov died on the spot, said Rasul Temerbekov, the spokesman of the local Investigating Committee.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the explosion occurred today in Zulpukarov Street of Buynaksk. An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated underneath Gasanov's Toyota close to his house, the "Interfax" reports.
The explosion occurred when Gasanov was heading to work, the "Chernovik" weekly reports with reference to its law enforcement source.
Meanwhile, one of the websites supporting the armed underground in Dagestan has reported that earlier Gasanov had been very active in persecuting Muslims.
