"Eco Watch" activists released from detention centre in Tuapse

On Wednesday, activists of the "Ecological Watch for North Caucasus" Alexei Mandrigelya, Anna Mikhailova and sisters Tatiana and Valentina Borisova, sentenced to three days of administrative arrest, left the detention centre in Tuapse, Krasnodar Territory.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the activists were released after expiry of their arrest term.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that six members of the "Eco Watch" were detained on December 29 prior to making an ecological inspection of the territory closed to the supposed summer cottage (dacha) of Krasnodar Governor Alexander Tkachov. Two activists were released, the rest were sentenced to three days of administrative arrest each.
