KBR resident to stand trial on charges of IAF involvement
The Prosecutor's Office of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has sent to court a criminal case against Zhantemir Temirkanov, a resident of the city of Nartkala, suspected of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs).
Investigators have established that in March 2013 Temirkanov joined the IAF, which operated in the territory of the Urvan District of the KBR under command of Ruslan Makoev.
The Office asserts that after joining the IAF, Temirkanov repeatedly met Makoev, as well as Ruslan Khapov, who was on the federal wanted list, and other militants, rendering them active help.
Earlier it was reported that on September 17, 2013, a resident of Nartkala, born in 1991, was detained in the KBR. He was accused of participating in an IAF.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported also that on September 6 a militant was killed in a special operation conducted in Nartkala, Urvan District of the KBR. On September 7, he was identified as Ruslan Khapov, a member of the "Urvan" grouping.
