Ministry of Public Health: condition of children-victims of Volgograd terror acts is better
As reported by Veronika Skvortsova, the Russian Health Minister, the children who suffered in the Volgograd terror acts and were transported to Moscow for treatment are on the mend.
Two victims of the terror acts, the girls who were brought to Moscow for treatment on January 1, namely, the nine-year-old Olya, who was wounded in the explosion at the railway station; and the three-month-old Vika, who was heavily injured in the trolleybus terror act, are taking their treatment at the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital.
"The girls' condition has improved significantly; it is closer to a relatively satisfactory status," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Minister Skvortsova as saying. Olga, according to the doctors, after the New Year holidays will be moved from intensive care unit to a general therapy ward; Vika may breathe independently with a little help; "she came out of the coma condition and can consume food," the Minister has explained.
The ITAR-TASS reports, with reference to Ms Skvortsova, that the condition of the 16-year-old boy, who suffered from one of Volgograd explosions, is also better.
To date, according to the Russia's Ministry of Public Health, the clinics of Moscow, Volgograd and Saint Petersburg still keep 61 patients, who suffered in the terror acts committed in Volgograd on December 29 and December 30.
