On the eve of Olympic Games, "Sheremetyevo" and "Vnukovo" Airports ban transportation of liquids in hand luggage
Starting from January 7, two Moscow airports "Sheremetyevo" and "Vnukovo" Airports ban to transport liquids in the aircraft cabin, including personal hygiene products and medicines. This was reported by the press service of the two airports. The restriction is in force for the period of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
"In accordance with the rules for transporting liquids in aircraft cabins, all liquids, including personal hygiene products, cosmetics, medicines, liquids, aerosols and gels in any containers, including means used in artistic activities (i.e., paints, primers, and adhesives) should be transported in baggage," the official website of the "Sheremetyevo" International Airport has informed its passengers.
The information service of the "Vnukovo" Airport has confirmed the information and added that baby food products are also forbidden to be taken to aircraft cabin. Meanwhile, medicines are allowed only if a passenger presents a medical certificate proving the necessity of receiving these medicines during the flight, the "Lenta.ru" reports.
