In Dagestani Chontaul, local residents complain about disappearance of their relative

In the village of Chontaul of the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, young man Magomed Akhbulatov disappeared. This was reported by his relative. Relatives of Magomed Akhbulatov believe that his disappearance may involve law enforcers.

The incident occurred in the afternoon of January 7. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a relative of the kidnapped man, who preferred to remain anonymous. Magomed Akhbulatov together with his companion went to visit his grandmother, who lived on the outskirts of Chontaul. He had a dinner with his grandmother and then went to a local store to buy food products.

Magomed Akhbulatov never returned, and his relatives did not see him since that time.

They believe that Magomed Akhbulatov was kidnapped by policemen. "Magomed wears a beard like beards of practicing Muslims... Perhaps, he may look like a member of a criminal grouping," his relative has said. He has confirmed that Magomed Akhbulatov does not have and never had any contacts with militants.

The relatives of the disappeared man filed a complaint to ROVD (District Interior Division) of the Kizilyurt District.

Officials from the Kizilyurt ROVD (District Interior Division) state the police are not involved in the disappearance of the resident of Chontaul.
