Family of detained Khasavyurt resident cannot find him
Relatives of Magomed Ibragimov, a resident of Khasavyurt, who was detained by power agents at night on January 5, have stated today that they cannot find his whereabouts.
Today, Ibragimov's family members have filed an application to the organization "Mothers of Dagestan for Human Rights", said Svetlana Isaeva, the chair of this organization. Isaeva quoted the application that about 2 a.m. at night on January 5 power agents surrounded the private house, in which Ibragimov lives with his wife.
"According to the applicants, several military vehicles surrounded the house on all sides; the agents were all in masks, except for a couple of them. They ordered to come out and surrender, otherwise they promised to shell the house. Magomed and his wife came out and were detained," Ms Isaeva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"His wife was released around 11 in the morning. According to her story, she was interrogated all night, she was treated very rudely, pushed and hit in the stomach with the submachine gun butt," said Svetlana Isaeva.
The organization "Mothers of Dagestan for Human Rights" is now preparing requests to the Russia's Prosecutor's Office, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) and the MIA about Ibragimov's whereabouts.
An officer from the on duty unit of the Khasavyurt GOVD (city interior department) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he knew nothing about Ibragimov's detention.
