CTO regime lifted in Stavropol Territory
The Stavropol authorities have cancelled the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime, which was introduced in several districts of the Territory after a series of murders of men, whose bodies were found in cars. This is reported by the press service of the operative headquarters of the FSB for the Stavropol Territory.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after on January 8 and 9 six dead bodies were found in cars in several settlements of the Kirov and Predgorny Districts of the Stavropol Territory, a number of districts thereof were put under the CTO regime. Additionally, a special regime was introduced on January 10 in a suburb of Pyatigorsk. Meanwhile, operative agents continue searching for the killers.
Let us remind you that explosive devices were planted near the cars, in which the above dead bodies were found; one of the bombs went off; fortunately, no one was hurt. These bombs, according to the police, were similar to those improvised explosive devices (IEDs), usually manufactured by members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) in Northern Caucasus. Policemen believe that the underground members acting in the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria could be involved in a series of murders committed in the Stavropol Territory.
