Court rejects building company's claim to nullify recognition of house in Akatsij Street in Sochi unfit for residence
The Adler District Court of Sochi has dismissed the suit lodged by the Directorate for Construction and Reconstruction of Highways of the Black Sea Coast of the Federal Road Agency against the Adler District Administration, demanding to repeal its resolution on recognizing the above house uninhabitable.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that as a result of construction of an Olympic facility – a section of M-27 Highway, – the tenants of the house got isolated from the outside world, since the designers of the highway failed to provide an access road to the house. The above Directorate went to court demanding to cancel the resolution of the above Administration, arguing that the house became uninhabitable "because of its non-compliance with housing conditions not associated with the construction of the highway."
"The resolution of the Adler District Administration was a recommendation. Nobody has obliged, but recommended the above Directorate to resettle the tenants, because the construction of the highway has worsened their living conditions," Yulia Savchuk, the spokesman for the Adler District Administration, has explained.
Let us remind you that the Human Rights Watch had expressed its concern about the situation with the tenants of the above house in Akatsij Street of Sochi.
