Investigators seize PCs during searches in apartments of advocates Murad Musaev and Darya Trenina
During the search carried out in the apartment of Murad Musaev, an advocate of the Advocates' Chamber "Musaev and Partners" in Moscow, investigators seized PCs and documents. This was reported by Alaudi Musaev, the advocate's father. The search was also conducted in the apartment of Darya Trenina, and investigators also took away her PC with them, Darya Trenina reports.
Today, officials from the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) have stated that the search in the apartment of Murad Musaev was carried out within the investigation into the criminal case of bribery of witnesses and pressure on the court during the trial on the Yuri Budanov's murder. Meanwhile, at present, Murad Musaev himself is not in Moscow.
Darya Trenina associates the searches with the procedure of jury selection in the case on the Anna Politkovskaya's murder, scheduled for January 14. At the trial, the advocates from the Advocates' Chamber "Musaev and Partners" also represent the interests of the defendants.
The advocate found that difficult to answer whether the today's searches would affect the procedure of jury selection for the case on the Anna Politkovskaya's murder. Meanwhile, Darya Trenina has treated the fact that the searches were carried out the day before the procedure of jury selection as "pressure and attempt to discredit the defence."
Lawyer Alaudi Musaev, the father of Murad Musaev, has stated that, being at his son's apartment, the investigators "were looking for evidence of bribery of witnesses."
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 7, 2013, the ICRF stated that advocate Murad Musaev, who at the trial in the case of the Yuri Budanov's murder represented the interests of Yusup Temerkhanov, a native of Chechnya, became a defendant in two criminal cases. According to the investigators, the advocate bribed witnesses and interfered in the work of jurors.
