Igor Slyunyaev: till 2020, 57 new schools to be built in Northern Caucasus under federal programme "South of Russia"
57 new schools will be built in Northern Caucasus under the federal target programme (FTP) "South of Russia" for 2014-2020 adopted in late 2013. This was reported by Igor Slyunyaev, Minister for Regional Development of the Russian Federation. In 2014, 1.8 billion roubles are to be allocated for the above purpose from the budget.
Among the main tasks of the federal program "South of Russia", Igor Slyunyaev has mentioned the completion of construction works on the objects under construction schools, hospitals, roads, and public utilities networks the money for that has already been allocated from the budget.
According to Igor Slyunyaev, taking into account anticipating population growth in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), it was decided allocate annually within the period of 2017-2020 more than 10 billion roubles from the federal budget for the above purpose. In addition to schools, the FTP priorities include hospitals, kindergartens, road facilities, and public utilities.
The total funding of the programme for 2014-2020 is to reach 189.1 billion roubles, including 171.9 billion roubles from the federal budget, the agency "INFOLine" reports.
