Sochi invites 1300 health professionals to work at Olympic Games
At the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, medical support will be provided by nearly 1300 health professionals from Moscow, Republic of Tatarstan and Krasnodar territorial medical institutions. This was reported by the Ministry of Public Health for the Krasnodar Territory. Doctors are ready to render medical assistance at 39 centres located at 18 Olympic venues.
In Sochi, six hospitals and the city ambulance station are ready to reception of patients and persons injured during the Winter Olympic Games. All medical institutions are ready to render medical assistance with using the most modern equipment in accordance with international standards. This was reported by the statement posted on the website of the Health Care Department for the Krasnodar Territory.
Alexander Lebedev, Deputy Chief of the Health Care Department of the Sochi administration, has stated that prior to the opening of the Olympic Games, the city medical institutions have prepared irreducible supplies of blood and medicines.
Let us also remind you that starting from late January, in the Sochi anti-doping laboratory, 70 Russian and 15 foreign experts will take samples from participants of the Winter Olympic Games to test them for the presence of prohibited substances.
