Chernyshenko: 70% of Olympic tickets sold out

Russian and foreign winter sport fans have already bought out more than 70% of the tickets for the competitions of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, said Dmitry Chernyshenko, the President of the Organizing Committee "Sochi-2014". Most of them were sold through the Internet.

According to his story, it is expected that over 75% of the spectators at the 2014 Winter Games will be Russian fans, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Sochi spectators will be able to get to the competitions only by personal tickets (bearing their surnames). In order to get one, each guest must get registered and receive a special fan's passport.

Let us note here that any illegal use of tickets for the sake of earning profit will be fined, according to the resolution approved back on February 10, 2013, by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, by 1 million roubles.
