Young man detained in KChR for possessing ammunition
In the city of Teberda, the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR), on Saturday, policemen detained a young man, in whose house they had found ammunition. This was reported by the press service of the Chief Department of the Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the KChR.
When inspecting the household of the 22-year-old resident of Teberda, power agents found 21 5.45-mm cartridges to a Kalashnikov and 7 9-mm rounds to a Makarov pistol.
After detecting the ammunition, policemen detained the young man and took him to the station and opened a criminal case under Part 2, Article 222 (illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or bearing weapons, main parts thereof, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices), of the Russian Criminal Code.
At the moment the young man waits for his freedom restriction measure at the temporary detention facility (known as IVS).
