ICRF: seven people killed in special operation in Semender
As reported by the spokesman for the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), seven people were killed by power agents in a special operation conducted in the village of Semender located in the outskirt of Makhachkala.
On Saturday night, a house was blocked in Semender, where, according to power agents, militants were hiding. A woman and three children were let out from the house. The blocked people, according to law enforcers, twice tried to break through the cordon.
As reported by the National Antiterrorism Committee (ANC), Makhmud Aliev, who recently became the leader of Makhachkala militants, was killed in the special operation.
Six dead bodies were found in the ruins of the house. One more member of the armed underground was killed earlier, during the first attempt to break through, said the spokesman of the ICRF for Dagestan.
A woman was among the casualties, identified as Zaira Alieva. She was the wife of a militant, who was killed in 2008, and a close friend of Naida Asiyalova – the suicide bomber, who, according to the police, triggered the bomb in a Volgograd bus on October 21, 2013, the "LifeNews" reports with reference to the NAC.
