Picket demanding to ensure citizens' safety held in Volgograd

On Saturday, Volgograd hosted a picket demanding to ensure people's safety by power agents, organized by the regional branch of the "Volya" (Will) Party. There were four picketers.

"Why is FSB unable to find terrorists, when equipment allows seeing a 5-kopeck coin from a satellite? Instead of preventing terror acts, FSB agents are chasing the opposition," Alexander Ponomaryov, the chairman of the regional branch of the "Volya" Party, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He also noted that "PPS (patrol-post service) agents began finding fault with the picketers, but then the matter was settled peacefully."

According to Ponomaryov, his branch will hold pickets every day until January 27 inclusive, with the exception of January 20, when Volgograd will welcome the Olympic Torch Relay.

On January 25, party activists plan to hold collection of signatures for resignation of Russian government.
