Policeman from Udmurtia, wounded in shootout in Dagestan, dies
The policeman from the city of Izhevsk, wounded in a shootout in Buynaksk on December 25, died on Saturday, said the MIA of Udmurtia.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 25 in Buynaksk, a police patrol was shelled. The fire was opened by the people from a car that was stopped for checking documents. In a shootout, three men in the car were killed; and two MIA agents were hospitalized.
On January 18, the Senior Police Sergeant Pyotr Shikhov from the separate battalion of the patrol-and-post service of the Russian MIA from the city of Izhevsk, died in Dagestan. He was wounded on December 25, 2013, during his service in Buynaksk, the website of the MIA of Udmurtia reports.
Pyotr Shikhov served for the MIA since 2008; he had a wife and two children.
Let us remind you that after the above shootout, the spokesman for the Dagestani MIA named those killed – Murad Mamaev, Abubakar Bammatov and Yusupgadji Kamilov – saying that they all were members of the "Buynaksk" grouping. However, Magomed Badrudinov, the head of the village of Shotoda, Khunzakh District of Dagestan, stated that his fellow villager Yusupgadji Kamilov, killed on December 25 during the fire-fight in Buynaksk, was a taxi driver and not a member of illegal armed formations (IAFs).
