In Moscow, procession "Committee of January 19" ends with neo-Nazi's attack on organizers
Hundreds of people took part in the procession in memory of Stanislav Markelov and Anastasia Baburova, which was organized in Moscow by the "Committee of January 19". The action was held under the anti-fascist slogans, and it was attended by members of the "Yabloko" Party, the "Red and Black Block", the LGBT community, trade unions and other organizations, and some civil society activists.
According to Kirill Medvedev, one of the organizers of the action, the procession was attended by at least 1000 people; the website of the "Committee of January 19" refers to the number of 700 participants, and at the same time, the police reports on 400 participants. "According to my information, the processions in memory of Stanislav Markelov and Anastasia Baburova were also held in Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and other cities," Kirill Medvedev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"After the action was completed, we were attacked by a group of people. I do not know they followed us as organizers or as participants. There were three of us, including a young woman. They kept the woman, while hitting me and Mikhail Griboedov for several times, and then they fled," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Kirill Medvedev.
The website of the "Committee of January 19" reports that in another place, neo-Nazis attacked Sergey Kozlovsky, a trade union activist, and two other young men.
