Krasnodar introduces emergency regime
The operational headquarters to eliminate the consequences of the disaster that struck the city of Krasnodar has made the decision to introduce an emergency regime. Public utility services do not make any predictions on the timing for the restoration of life support systems.
Let us remind you that freezing rain in the Krasnodar Territory and the regional capital has disrupted the work of public transport and caused falling of trees. According to eyewitnesses, hundreds of trees fell in the city. A 16-year-old girl was killed by a fallen icy tree branch.
By the evening of January 21, about 135,000 Krasnodar residents were left without supply of electricity, water and heating. Despite the fact that the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, according to his press service, has given the instructions to restore electricity supply in the affected areas of the region till 9:00 p.m., it is still not possible to restore electricity supply in the very city of Krasnodar, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
However, the local utility services do not make any predictions on the timing for the recovery of life support systems, since, till present, the weather conditions do not allow working in full strength.
