Hungarian NOC reports on threats in connection with Olympic Games in Sochi
The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Hungary has received a letter containing the terrorist threats on the eve of the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. This was reported today by Zsolt Borkai, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Hungary.
According to him, Hungarians take the threat seriously, and they have notified the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the organizers of the Olympic Games in Russia.
Zsolt Borkai has added that he is aware that the Olympic committees of other countries also received similar threats, the agency "Reuters" reports.
Bence Szabo, Secretary General of the Hungarian NOC, has said that a similar letter was also received by the International Olympic Committee and that the investigation into this fact is underway. According to Bence Szabo, the letter containing the threats of terror acts against the Hungarian delegation in Sochi was written in Russian and English and sent to the email address of the Hungarian NOC, the edition "Daily Sport Nemzeti" reports.
