Dagestani native living in Tyumen fears provocations in context of information that he is wanted
Kalsyn Akkaziev, a native of Dagestan, states that he is persecuted by law enforcers of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, where he lived before 2012. According to Akkaziev, he was put on the operative wanted list as a potential terrorist; therefore, he is afraid of provocations. The police of Yugra deny that Akkaziev had been put on the wanted list.
"They are preparing some provocation against me – for several days since the beginning of this year policemen of the city of Beloyarskiy receive – at their morning and evening operative meetings – leaflets with my identikit, saying that I am allegedly searched as a potential terrorist. My relative, a former policeman of the Beloyarskiy GOVD (City Interior Division), told me about it. In his turn, he was informed about it by his colleague, a current policeman," said Kalsyn Akkaziev.
According to his story, the pressure on him by law enforcement bodies began a few years ago, when he lived in Beloyarskiy.
"I received open threats and advice to leave the city, otherwise I might have huge problems, for example, they'd find drugs or ammunition at my work," Akkaziev told about the events preceding his placement on the wanted list.
He added that on January 20 he sent an appeal to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", asking for help in defending his rights and protecting him from pressure.
