300 Euromaidan supporters rally in Tbilisi
About 300 people gathered in front of the former building of the parliament in Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi to express their support to Euromaidan protesters in Kiev, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
On January 22 in Tbilisi, there were no speeches. They commemorated the casualties of protests in Kiev, said one of the organizers Konstantin Demyanenko, an entrepreneur. "Today, we can only be silent, because no words can matter, when people are dying," he said.
Georgy Baramidze, the former State Minister of Georgia on European Integration and now an MP from the "United National Movement" Party, who took part in the rally, said that the situation should be resolved in Ukraine itself. "This is the Ukraine's matter; while all the other countries, including Georgia, should express their solidarity with the Ukrainians, wishing them to stay in the united European family."
