Moscow: Nasrutdinov's defence appeals against his detention

Today, the advocates of Magomedgusen Nasrutdinov, the former Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan, have lodged their appeal to the Moscow City Court (MCC) against the ruling on the detention of their client.

Let us remind you that Magomedgusen Nasrutdinov was detained on suspicion of a fraud associated with the illegal transfer into ownership of the Dagestani gas networks; and on January 21 he was arrested by the court.

Today was the deadline for filing a complaint against Nasrutdinov's custody. Earlier, his advocates announced their intention to appeal.

"The complaint was filed today in order not to miss the procedural deadline, but later it will be complemented. We still haven't received the minutes of the court session; after we receive and study them, a more detailed appeal will be drafted," one of Nasrutdinov's advocates told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

He added that so far no indictment has been presented to Magomedgusen Nasrutdinov.
