70 illegal migrants evicted from Chechnya in 2013
During 2013, only seventy illegal migrants were deported from Chechnya for violating migration laws. The local Federal Migration Service (FMS) believes that the problem of illegal migration in Chechnya has been minimized.
"In 2013, more than 300 foreign nationals were detained for violating the immigration legislation in the territory of our republic. 70 of them by the decision of the judiciary were deported to their homelands. Overall, today the republic almost has no foreigners without a residence permit in the territory of the Russian Federation and a permission to run their businesses. The problem of illegal migrants has been virtually minimized," a source from the FMS told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to his story, the majority of migrants in the republic are citizens of Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Vietnam, who are mainly employed in services and construction.
